We are pleased to announce, that we have gained one more Norwegian member in our Theatron-family. Our newest customer is Hordaland Teater from Bergen in south-west Norway. Hordaland Teater has been active since 1988, first as a touring theatre and lately in their own theater house in the centre of Bergen. It is a publicly owned regional theatre for the Hordaland province. The theatre has a strong emphasis on modern drama and an identity solidly anchored in the western Norwegian dialect. This is how Solfrid Glesnes, production manager at Hordaland Teater, describes the theatre’s activities and why they decided to acquire Theatron as their planning tool: “Hordaland teater used to be a touring theatre without a theatre stage of our own. This has now changed as we have now moved in to a beautiful theatre building in the centre of Bergen. With this change of location, our planning has also changed dramatically, with higher activity, as we aim to fill the house with activity all year round. This includes our own productions, hosting guest performances, we co-produce with other theatres, we rent out the stage for concerts and other events and we still tour some of our productions. After having tested Theatron and talked to colleagues at other theatres that use Theatron, we were convinced that Theatron is the tool we need at Hordaland Teater.“ For more information on Hordaland Teater check out their website (in Norwegian) here.
